Respite care
Respite Care
Everyone wants to help out when a family member or friend needs a little extra help around the house. Taking care of sick, elderly, or disabled family members can be beneficial, but it’s also a hard job that requires a lot of work. This is especially true if you have a full-time job or a family to take care of, or too often, both!
It is important for carers to meet both their own needs and the needs of the person they are caring for. If this fine balance isn’t maintained, it’s very easy for a carer to “burn out,” which can cause problems with sleep, an unhealthy lifestyle, or a general loss of happiness.
